My 1988 Dodge Minivan had grown rather old and dinged up, and was beginning to peel paint on top. So I got car spray paint to cover the bald spots so they would not begin to rust. The paint, however would not match, and so I got ugly touch-up spots. So I decided to do a decorative paint-job over it. This is all just Tester’s Model Spray paint in blue, green and magenta/purple metallic, plus cut out bits of twinkle metallic Contact paper sheets, stuck on top. The contact paper should be stuck on as soon as you finish spray painting, when the car is a little sticky, or it likes to peel off. I have gone in an afternoon’s time from driving a boring blue dinged-up old matron mobile, to having the most memorable and talked-about car in Fairbanks, Alaska. I had someone stop to take photos of it while I was in the middle of painting it!
